Since 1984 the Iranian Association has developed a diverse range of services in response to the needs of the ethnic minorities and refugees in London.
WELFARE AND IMMIGRATION ADVICE SERVICE provides information and advice on immigration, housing, benefits and women issues. IA also offers interpreting and translation services to the clients.
EDUCATION AND ADVICE CENTRE has enabled unemployed ethnic minorities and refugees in London to overcome language barriers in having access to training and education opportunities. The centre is a member of Nextstep and has been providing information, advice and guidance on employment and further education to the clients. Iranian Association has also been offering OCR IT, ECDL, ESOL and City and Guilds Numeracy and Literacy courses.
The association is approved by OISC for providing immigration advice and accredited by Community Legal Service (CLS) for offering General Help. IA’s Learndirect, IT and ESOL courses are compliant with the Common Inspection Framework. The association has also achieved the Level 2 of The Practical Quality Assurance System for Small Organisations (PQASSO). The Advice and Guidance service has been accredited by Matrix since December 2002.
اهداف جامعه ایرانیان بشرح زیر می باشد :
- رسیدگی به مسائل و مشکلات ایرانیان و بویژه پناهجویان و پناهندگان شامل مسائل اقامتی، معیشت ، مسکن، آموزش ، کاریابی ، پزشکی و فرهنگی در جهت بهبود شرایط زندگی افراد.
- کوشش در جهت حفظ و اشاعه فرهنگ ملی ایرانی از جمله برگزاری اعیاد و آئین های ملی ایران و همکاری با سایر سازمانها – انجمن ها و کانون های فرهنگی ایرانی در این راستا.
فعالیت ها و خدمات:
این سازمان جهت نیل به اهداف یاد شده فعالیت ها و خدمات زیر را ارايه می نماید: ارائه اطلاعات و راهنمائی در امور پناهندگی و اقامت، کمک هزينه های دولتی و مسکن، برگزاری دوره های آموزشی (زبان انگليسی و کامپيوتر) و کارآموزی، ارائه مشاوره در زمينه کاريابی ، تهيه رزومه و تسهيل ادامه آموزش عالی برای پناهندگان، ارائه اطلاعات و راهنمائی در رابطه با مسائل زنان و مشکلات خانوادگی، ارائه مشاوره روانی (Counselling)، برگزاری گردهمائی های هفتگی سالمندان، انتشار نشريه خبری در رابطه با مسائل روز پناهندگان.
عضویت:
عضویت درجامعه برای همه ایرانیان ساکن بریتانیا که بالای 16 سال داشته باشند، آزاد است و کلیه اعضا می توانند با حق رای در جلسات مجمع عمومی سالانه شرکت نموده و در جهت پیشبرد اهداف این سازمان فعالانه شرکت کنند. حق عضویت مبلغ 3 پوند در سال می باشد.
